Scottie Scheffler and the team at GolfForever provided each member of Team USA with their own Swing Trainer ahead of the 2022 Presidents Cup.

Nowhere in golf will you find more American dominance than the Presidents Cup. Since its inception in 1994, the International Team has come out on top only once, with a convincing win back in 1998 when the matchup was contested in Australia. Since then, it's been all Team U.S.A., all the time. With their 17.5 - 12.5 victory last month at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, the 2022 Presidents Cup followed the same narrative.

Led by Captain Davis Love III and assistant captains Fred Couples, Webb Simpson, Steve Stricker, and friend of GolfForever, Zach Johnson, we were more than happy to send Scottie to the Cup with a few extra Swing Trainers for his coaches and teammates in preparation for the long week of competition. In fact, you may have seen Max Homa working out with one on Instagram in the week leading up to the event! We’re honored to have played a role in prepping our nation's best golfers to go to battle and in keeping their bodies functioning at the highest level, allowing the Presidents Cup to remain on American soil once again.

Team U.S.A. entered the week as the heavy favorite and they did not waste time proving it right either, getting off to a red-hot start in the first session and taking a commanding 4 - 1 lead with what’s historically been the crew’s best format, Foursomes. Having proved what a formidable force they were, the United States Team never looked back, losing only one session the rest of the week but never allowing the Internationals to get any closer than the 3-point deficit after Session 1. 

Our own GolfForever ambassador, World #1 Scottie Scheffler, will likely look back on the 2022 Presidents Cup with a bit of an asterisk given his personal play. Paired with his good friend Sam Burns for the first three sessions, the two managed to notch only ½ a point together for the Americans, coming in their four-ball match against Sungjae Im and Sebastián Muñoz. After his dominant play and winning record at the 2020 Ryder Cup (contested just 12 months ago due to COVID-19) Scheffler presumably had higher hopes for his Presidents Cup debut. However, with that ½ point secured, it solidified a positive contribution from every single player on the 12-man roster to the team victory.
